Our Client Bristol City Council engaged with our parent company Stepnell Group to build a new sports facility for St Bernadette’s RFC, to allow relocation from their current facility in Hengrove Park to the new site at Fulford Road. The project was direct award through the Procure Partnership Framework.

The specification included the construction of new club house and the installation of two rugby pitches and a training area.

The club is intended become self-sufficient through revenue earned from the activities and users of the club. The bar, kitchen and pitches can be rented out to other sports/wedding functions/skittles events.

Step Energy were appointed to install 63 420W roof mounted PV panels on the south facing roof, with 1x 25KW Inverter. The 26.46 kWp system is estimated to generate 26,930 kWh annually saving an estimated 5.21 tonnes of CO2 the equivalent of planting around 239 trees.
